Russia Warns of Pre-Emptive Strike Against NATO’s Missile Defense System

While at an international conference attended by senior U.S. and NATO officials, Chief of General Staff Nikokai Makarov made an alarming announcement concerning the ongoing situation with NATO’s European missile defense system.
The conference was organized by The Russian Defense Ministry to take place on May 3-4 in the Russian capitol for the purpose of addressing some very critical issues of missile defense systems. The conference was attended by military representatives from over 50 countries including 28 NATO members.
Chief of General Staff Nikolay Makarov delivered imperative warning that if a solution is not reached with the U.S. on the missile defense Russia may launch pre-emptive attack on the missile sites.
“Considering the destabilizing nature of the [American] ABM system, namely the creation of an illusion of inflicting a disarming [nuclear] strike with impunity, a decision on pre-emptive deployment of assault weapons could be taken when the situation gets harder,” Makarov said.

In an interview published in the Wednesday edition of Rossiyskaya Gazeta, Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov said “When the Americans begin constructing the third stage of their missile defense plans in Europe and the effectiveness of our strategic nuclear forces is jeopardized, serious issues will arise regarding Russia’s appropriate reaction”.
The ABM’s are being strategically placed all along Russia’s southern borders which even if not created for use against Russia, it could easily be if the U.S. ever desired to. The U.S. is attempting to get an early foothold in eastern and Russian regions by using the so-called defense of Europe as their cover tactic. This is probably in preparation for the elites plan to establish a one world government in the future. Russia is obviously their number one obstacle.
Even if the U.S. claims the missiles are meant for defending Europe, the fact that they are being positioned all around Russia’s borders is a threat to Russia’s security. It would be just like if Russia started installing missile sites in Cuba, Mexico, and Canada and then claiming they are meant to protect Cuba. You remember how worked up Americans became during the Cuban missile crisis. This really is not much of a difference.
Russia has actually been very patient so far. They have been making a concerted effort to get Washington to cooperate and to give them a written guarantee that AMBs won’t be used to target Russia. So far the Obama Administration has been rudely ignoring the Russians.
